Pasa tu CDL

Terms of Sale and License

Pasa tu CDL · pasatucdl.com Last updated: October 27, 2026

This is an English translation of our Spanish-language terms, provided for convenience. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.

These terms govern the purchase of the Pasa tu CDL course, the annual subscription for schools, and the license to use them. Please read them before you pay: by confirming your payment, you accept them.

1. Who we are

Tesla Market Insight, S.A. de C.V. (“Tesla Market Insight,” “we,” or “us”), located at Arquímedes 205, Polanco, Alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo, C.P. 11560, Mexico City, Mexico, operates the Pasa tu CDL brand and the pasatucdl.com website.

Customer service, questions, and complaints:

  • Email: lifemystylemx@gmail.com
  • WhatsApp: +52 55 2766 3197

2. How your purchase is made

  • Your purchase is made electronically, under Articles 1803 (section I), 1811, and 1834 bis of Mexico’s Federal Civil Code and Article 80 of Mexico’s Commercial Code. You accept these terms when you confirm your payment.
  • Before you pay, the checkout page shows the product, the total price, the currency, and, for the school subscription, how often you will be charged, so you can review your order.
  • Each purchase is governed by the version of these terms in effect on the date you made it. We recommend keeping a copy.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to buy. If you buy on behalf of a driving school, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it; in that case, “you” means the school.

3. What you are buying

Each product page on the site describes the product, its contents, and its price. We offer:

  • Pasa tu CDL course, one-time payment. An online practice simulator, with questions in English and support in Spanish, and a study guide to prepare for the commercial driver’s license (CDL) knowledge tests in Texas. It includes access for six months from the date of purchase.
  • School license, annual subscription. Lets a driving school give up to 50 students per subscription year access to the course. It renews automatically every year until the school cancels it (section 5).

To use the products, you need an up-to-date web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox) and a PDF reader.

4. License

Ownership. The text, questions, explanations, illustrations, and simulator software are protected by Mexico’s Federal Copyright Law and by international copyright treaties, and they belong to Tesla Market Insight or its licensors. When you buy, you do not acquire ownership of these materials; you receive a license to use them.

Personal license (Pasa tu CDL course). We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for one person, you, to use the course for six months to prepare for your tests on your own devices. If the course lets you download the guide, you may keep that copy for your personal study after your access ends.

School license. We grant the school a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to give its enrolled students access to the course, up to 50 students per subscription year, while the subscription is active. Students may use the materials only for their own test preparation. When the subscription ends, the school will stop providing access and remove the materials from its systems; students may keep, for their personal study, any copies of the guide they downloaded while the license was active. The school may not present the materials as an Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) course or as approved by any authority.

You may not:

  • Sell, resell, sublicense, rent, lend, or assign the materials or your access link.
  • Share the materials or the link with other people or other schools, except with the students of a subscribing school, up to the purchased limit.
  • Post them online, on social media, or in publicly accessible shared folders.
  • Remove copyright notices or present the materials as your own.
  • Copy the questions or use the materials to create products that compete with ours or to train artificial intelligence systems.

If you breach these conditions, the license will end without the need for a court order, and we may take any action available to us under the law.

5. Prices, taxes, payment, and subscription

Prices. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars (USD) and are the total you pay. If any tax applies, it will be included in the price or shown to you before you confirm your payment.

Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe, using the payment methods shown on the checkout page. We do not receive or store your full card details. If you pay with a card issued outside the United States, your bank may charge foreign-transaction fees, which we do not control.

Pasa tu CDL course. It is paid for in a single payment and does not lead to any later charges.

Annual school license subscription. By subscribing, the school gives its express consent to automatic recurring charges, under Article 76 Bis, section VIII, of Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Law:

  • Amount and billing frequency: the annual price shown on the checkout page, charged when the school subscribes and then every year on the same date.
  • Renewal: the subscription renews automatically every year until the school cancels it.
  • Advance notice: Stripe will email the address on file 7 calendar days before each renewal, with the date and amount of the next charge.
  • Cancellation: the school may cancel at any time, with no penalty, from Stripe’s customer portal or by contacting us on WhatsApp. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the year already paid for: there will be no further charges, and the school keeps access until that date.

Promotions. Promotions state their conditions and dates on the site.

6. Delivery

Once your payment is confirmed, we will show you a private access link on the confirmation page. In addition, Stripe will email your receipt and access link, on behalf of Tesla Market Insight, to the address you entered at checkout. Delivery is usually immediate. If you have not received the email within 24 hours, check your spam folder and, if it is not there, contact us.

The link is for you alone or, for schools, for their students only, up to the purchased limit. If the link stops working while your access is active, we will send you a new one at no cost.

7. Receipts and invoicing

  • For each payment, Stripe will email you a receipt.
  • If you need a Mexican electronic invoice (CFDI), request it by email or WhatsApp within the calendar month in which the charge was made. Include the email address you used to buy and your tax details: name or company name, RFC, ZIP code of your tax address, tax regime, and intended use of the CFDI. If you do not request it within that time, the sale will be included in the global invoice we issue for sales to the general public, and we may no longer be able to issue you an individual CFDI.
  • If you live outside Mexico and need a CFDI, we can issue it using the generic tax ID that Mexico’s Tax Administration Service (SAT) sets for foreign residents.

8. 7-day money-back guarantee and cancellations

7-day money-back guarantee (Pasa tu CDL course). If you are not happy with the course for any reason, ask us for a refund by email or WhatsApp within seven calendar days after your purchase, and tell us the email address you used to buy. We will refund 100% of what you paid, no questions asked, to the same payment method, within five business days of your request; your bank may take a few more days to show it.

Right to cancel. In addition, under Article 56 of Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Law, you may cancel your purchase within five business days after we deliver your link. For the course, if that period ends after the guarantee period, you may use the longer one. For the school license, this right applies to the first payment: if the school cancels within that period, the subscription ends and we refund that first charge.

School license renewals. After that period, the school may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the paid year, as described in section 5. Annual charges already made are not refundable, except in the cases described in the paragraph on defective files.

Once you receive a refund, your license ends and you must delete any downloaded files and stop using the simulator. The money-back guarantee is not a guarantee that you will pass the test.

Defective files or access that does not work. If a file does not work or does not match the product description, or if online access does not work for reasons attributable to us, contact us. You will be entitled, at your choice, to have us fix the problem or to receive a refund for the affected period or product, plus any credit due under Articles 92, 92 Bis, and 92 Ter of Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Law.

Unrecognized charges. If you do not recognize a charge, please contact us before contacting your bank, and we will look into it right away.

9. What our products are not

  • We do not guarantee that you will pass any test. The result depends on your preparation and on the authority’s assessment.
  • We are not affiliated with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), or the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), and none of them has approved our products.
  • Pasa tu CDL is not an Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) course, is not listed on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry, and does not meet the entry-level driver training requirements of 49 CFR Part 380.
  • The official rules, such as licensing requirements, test content, and the language in which tests are given, are set by the DPS and may change. Always check current information at https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license and in the official commercial driver handbook published by the DPS.
  • We do not provide legal or immigration advice, or advice on the documents or eligibility requirements for obtaining a license.

10. Liability

We commit to providing access and delivering the materials as described on the site. How you use them, and your preparation for the tests, are your responsibility.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to a purchase will not exceed the price you paid for it or, for the school subscription, the amount paid for the current year, and we will not be liable for indirect damages, such as lost income or lost job opportunities. This limitation does not apply in cases of fraud or bad faith, and it does not limit any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.

11. Personal data

We process your personal data as described in our privacy notice, posted at pasatucdl.com.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future purchases. Changes do not affect purchases already made, which remain governed by the version in effect on their date. If a change affects the conditions of an active subscription, we will notify you by email before the next renewal, and the school may cancel with no penalty before the change takes effect.

13. Complaints

If you have a complaint, contact us at the email address or WhatsApp number in section 1. We will respond within three business days. If you are a consumer in Mexico, you may also contact Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO): https://www.gob.mx/profeco

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Mexico City and waive any other jurisdiction that might apply because of their present or future domicile, without prejudice to consumers’ right to go to PROFECO. If you are a consumer residing in the United States, this section does not deprive you of the protection of any laws of your state of residence that cannot be waived by agreement.

15. Language

These terms are also available in Spanish. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
